Privacy Policy

Short version

Poopy Timer collects, stores and transmits no personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics. The app never connects to a server and works entirely without an internet connection.

Who is responsible

What the app stores

Only this, and only on your device:

• Start time and duration of your sessions, for history, stats and achievements
• The start time of a session still running, so the timer survives an app restart
• Your settings (Poopy, appearance, sound, Throne Guardian, keep screen on), so they are still there next time
• The most recent result image card, for sharing, in the app's temporary folder

All of this lives in the app's protected area on your device (the sandbox). Other apps cannot read it, and the app sends none of it anywhere.

You can delete it at any time: single sessions by swiping them to the left in the history, everything under Settings → Clear history, or by uninstalling the app.

Device backup

If you have iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google Backup (Android) switched on, the data above may be included in your general device backup with Apple or Google. That is a feature of your operating system, not of this app. Their privacy policies apply: Apple, Google.

Notifications

With your permission, the app shows local notifications while a session is running. They are created and scheduled on your device. No push messages are sent through any server and no device identifiers are transmitted. You can withdraw the permission in your system settings at any time, or switch off the Throne Guardian in the app.

Sharing

When you tap Share, the app hands an image and a short text with a link to the App Store to your operating system's share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you and the app you choose. Poopy Timer itself sends nothing.

No tracking, no third parties

The app contains no ad networks, no analytics libraries and no social media SDKs. It does not read advertising identifiers (IDFA, Advertising ID). There are no data processors for the app, because it transmits no data.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the data that is technically needed to deliver it, such as your IP address, the time, the page requested and details of your browser, and uses it to protect the site against attacks. Cloudflare may process this data in the USA and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Details: Cloudflare privacy policy.

The website itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Even the font is served from here.

Legal basis and your rights

The app: it processes no personal data on our side, so nothing requires a legal basis. We hold no data about you that we could hand out, correct or delete. The data on your device is entirely under your control.

This website: the processing by Cloudflare described above is based on our legitimate interest in delivering the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to object, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Austria, that is the Datenschutzbehörde.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

If anything about data handling changes, we will update this policy and the date at the top.
